My name is David Horn and I am a historian, librarian and technologist currently employed as Information Systems Analyst at the American University of Paris.

I have an undergraduate degree in French and Francophone Studies from Harvard University and a graduate degree in Information Science from ENSSIB, the French national library school. I have also studied at the University of the South Pacific, the Université de Paris 8, the Ecole Normale Supérieure, and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales.

My research interests include French colonial history (colonial and anti-colonial exhibitions, colonial governmentality, policing and surveillance); scholarly hypertext and digital history; and cybergeography.

I was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne to a Ugandan mother and an American father (of Lithuanian and Galician extraction), and grew up in England, Nigeria, Lesotho, Fiji, France and the United States.

I am a grandson of Timothy Bazarrabusa.
